CITYWIDE SIGNAL UPGRADES

This project will feature detection upgrades to make the City's adaptive signal system more efficient and the addition of flashing yellow arrow signals at multiple signals throughout the City for pedestrian safety improvements and vehicle delay reduction. The focus area will be signals in the central part of the City along Mason Montgomery Road and Tylersville Road with a few signals adjacent to these corridors.

Current Status: The project has been awarded to Capital Electric Line Builders. The contractor has commenced work on upgrading vehicle detection at several intersections throughout the city. There are still several intersections yet to go with detection work. The project also features the upgrade to flashing yellow turn arrows at several intersections. This work is scheduled for the fall.



The project will feature intermittently lane closures at several signalized intersections throughout the city. These lanes closures will occur sporadically.
