Cox-Smith Road was closed in the early 1990’s due to safety concerns. The roadway was narrow, in disrepair, and had two 90-degree curves. The city had since acquired the right-of-way necessary to remove the two 90-degree curves and to widen the road to current standards. The project will reconstruct Cox-Smith from Parkside to SR 741. It will include curb and gutter, storm sewer, multi-use path and street lighting and street trees.
Construction is planned to begin Fall 2018 pending grant approval.Cox-Smith Reconstruction Exhibit
