This project will upgrade the existing railroad crossing on Western Row Rd.
 

The project is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2025 with completion in fall of 2025. This project is a joint venture between the Ohio Rail Development Commission, the City of Mason, and the Indiana & Ohio Railway. The upgrade will include the installation of flashing lights and roadway gates, and the replacement of the existing crossing surface with a new concrete surface (similar to that of Tylersville Rd and US42 crossing), for the benefit of the traveling public. Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) and the I&O Railway are providing funding for the project.

Current Status: Staff is working with the ORDC to finalize the plans and project documents. It is anticipated that the project will be bid out in Spring or Summer of 2025. Learn more about this project by clicking here.
